Natural accents using blue pine
The bluing seen within pine happens naturally as a tree breaks down and beings the natural rotting which all wood does. In the case of pine, this is manifested as a bluing from the outside of a tree inward for the case of standing deadwood, or bluing through the tree for logs that have been blown or cut down.
In this case, blue pine has been uses as the featured accent in this basement. Concrete foundation wall have been capped, the fireplace hearth riser and base all are in place to enhance the blue pine mantel.
The mantel itself stretches from wall to wall in this corner fireplace scene. The overall effect is dramatic and support the overall presences within this basement setting.
